Lines are everywhere and in everything. It is in the concept of time, in music, in language and in science. It is in everything we see and everything we do. In this project, I wanted to continue exploring natural elements through lines. I began by responding to a line painting from the exhibition The Vitalist Economy and the concept behind Spectrum. I found my inspiration through images of nature and other artists who also created minimalist line art and organic shapes. However, what began as an exploration of recreating natural forming lines using different mediums became a journey of an exploration with the medium itself over the course of two weeks. Although this is not my first time using acrylic paints, this is my first ever attempt at completing a painting on canvas using acrylic painting techniques and mediums. In the end, this journey became a very long and windy line itself.
